Memorial Landings Belgian Paratroopers

This plaque commemorates the landing of the first Belgian troops from the Parachute Squadron SAS who had landed on August 15, 1944. They operated in the region of Gedinne under the command of Captain E. Blondeel and Lieutenant P. Renkin.

Cette plaque commemore l'arrivée des premieres troupes BELGES, avant-garde des troupes ALLIES Qui, en 1944 foulerent le sol de la BELGIQUE. l'Escadron de parachutistes BELGES "S.A.S." qui a partir du 15 Aout 1944, opera dans la region de GEDINNE sous les ordres du Captaine E.Blondeel et du Lieutenant P.Renkin
