This memorial commemorates the residents of Croston who were killed or missing in World War I and World War II.
Many of these memorials were erected after the First World War. After the Second World War, the names of those who died in that war were also added to the memorial.
It was unveiled on Saturday 30 October 1920 by Capt. Douglas H. Hacking who was the MP for Chorley at the time. Constructed in granite, the Memorial is a Grade II listed structure containing the names of all those who lost their lives in both World Wars.
