German War Cemetery Marienbildgen
This war cemetery is located, a bit hidden, in the middle of the forest and is covered with trees. 223 German soldiers are buried here, 126 in individual graves and 97 in two mass graves. 169 of them are known by name.
They were killed during the Battle of Hürtgen Forest, in heavy fights in the area between Merode and Wenau that took from November until the half of December 1944.
