War Memorial Burton Upon Trent

This memorial commemorates the residents of Burton Upon Trent who were killed or missing in World War I and World War II.

"The Forgotten War"

To honour those servicemen from
East Staffordshire and Derbyshire
who fought in the Korean War 1950-1953
as part of the very first United
Nations force to repel the Communist
invasion of
South Korea.

Especially the 1,078 killed
2,674 wounded and
1,060 held prisoner.
