Commonwealth War Graves General Cemetery Bloemendaal

The General Cemetery in Bloemendaal contains two Commonwealth war graves from World War II.

The first grave concerns W.J. Mackay, he was a crew member of a Hampden X3118 X1D OL-J of 83 Sqn. The Hampden was en route to a mission over Essen and crashed into the sea off the Dutch coast.

The second grave belongs to an unknown member of the Royal Marines. The headstone gives the date of death as 9 October 1944.
