Commonwealth War Grave Woubrugge

At the General Cemetery Woubrugge is one Commonwealth war grave from World War II. This is the grave of F/S Frederick Bernard Woodman. On July 20, 1944 departed at 2245 from Little Snoring airfield, the Mosquito PZ174 with the mission to a tactical bombing of the Luftwaffe airfield Florennes in Belgium. For unknown reasons, the plane crashed on the way to the airfield at 2355 in Woubrugge. The two crew members of the plane lost their lives. Woodman is buried in this cemetery, his fellow crew F/O F.L. Grimwood was only recovered in 1946, he is buried in the Bergen op Zoom War Cemetery.
