The German cemetery at Jemantscha was erected in 1942. Until January 1943, a total of 1143 victims werd buried there. All were buried in single, personal graves. For years the cemetery, only was to be recognised by a wired fence and a large wooden cross.
In 2007, the German Volksbund was given the cemetery. since then the whole terrain has been renewed. In the centre a large granite cross was erected and the cemetery was well fenced. With a total of 14 granite cross groups, the graves are symbolized. The 1143 names were placed on five granite stone markers.
The cemetery was opened again on August 6th, 2010.
