Millstone Malmedy

Granite millstone from the mill of the abbey (15th century) on the left bank of the Warche which was the driving force for the exploitation of the mill. Public sale of the mill was in 1797 to the industrialist Henry Steinbach from Malmedy
Destruction by bombing in 1944.
The millstone was found in 1987 during the demolition of a bakery on this site.
Owned by the town of Malmedy.
