Crash Site & Wreckage B-24H Liberator Bomber Twizle Head Moss

This B-24H Liberator bomber (serial number: 42-94841) ‘Sack Time’ of the 857th Bomb Squadron crashed on 9 October 1944. Eight of of the ten crew members were killed in the crash. The ninth crew member died due to his wounds on 10 October 1944. One survived, Curtis Anderson. The wreckage of the aircraft can be visited.
