Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre

RAF Coningsby is the home base of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF), the historic flight of the RAF. The BBMF owns and operates 9 historic aircraft, which are used for airshows, memorial flight etc. Among teh fleet are 5 Spitfires, 2 Hurricanes, a Lancaster and a Dakota. The Lancaster is 1 of only 2 airworthy Lancsters in the world. The Visitor Centre is admission free. There's a small charge for tours around the flight's hangar. Because the aircraft are not always at site, it is recommended to contact BBMF when you plan a visit.
