Kanoya Naval Air Base Museum

This museum is standing on the Konaya Navy Airbase and is devoted to the history of the Konaya airbase, which was established in 1936 by the Imperial Navy and the Japanese Navy in general. Konaya Airbase played an important role during the Second World War (especially in the battle of Okinawa in 1945). A Kawanishi H8K2 Type 2 flying boat and a Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Model 52 fighter are included in the collection.
