Former German Barracks Dokkum

This former public elementary school called "Citizen School" has been occupied during WWII by the Germans and served as barracks. A remarkable detail is preserved in the eleventh stone layer above the characters of the word "school" are still four large wall plugs visible, where once the German eagle with swastika was mounted.
