Crash Site & Remains Dutch B25 Mitchell Bomber Nightcliff

The B25 Mitchell N5-140 of the Dutch 18 Squadron departed Darwin in the early morning of 5 April 1943 for Japanese controlled Timor but crashed shortly after take off with the loss of all five crew members.

The remains of this aeroplane are still visible during low tide on the Nightcliff Foreshore.
