Shipwreck "Chuyo Maru"

This shipwreck is from the Japanese coastal freighter "Chuyo Maru". The ship was bombed during Operation Desecrate One (30 March - 31 March 1944) and sunk on 1 April 1944.

The "Chuyo Maru" today:
It lies currently at the bottom of the sea at a depth of 40 meters (120f). It can be reached by diving with diving equipment.

This shipwreck is still considered to be the last resting place for killed Japanese seamen and soldiers. While diving at this site, please treat human remains and their personal belongings with respect.
