Along the Benedeneind Zuidzijde road there is a war memorial at a farm in Benschop in memory of eight war victims who fell on 13 and 17 February 1945. The monument is a design by Sybold van Ravenstein and by the sculptor Johannes W. Uiterwaal.
One of the victims died in a firefight on 13 February, seven others were shot on 17 February at the haystack of the farm as a reprisal for the death of three German soldiers.

Four victims are buried at the Catholic cemetery in Benschop, three others are buried at the NH graveyard in the village.
