Memorial Hero of the Soviet Union Peter Barbashov
This imposing memorial commemorates the Siberian soldier Peter Barbashov who sacrificed himself on 9 November 1942 in order to protect his company during the fighting for Vladikavkaz. Barbashov was awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union title posthumously.
