War Memorial Westbroek

The war memorial of Westbroek, municipality of De Bilt, commemorates 19 inhabitants who died in the Second World War and one inhabitant who died in the Indonesian Independence War in the Dutch East Indies.

The names on the left plaque are:
J.B. Lenssinck, and J. v.d. Tol, died on 14-01-1945 during a raid in Westbroek
T. v. Keulen, C. Smaling and J.G. Oudhof
died on 05-05-1945 as a civilian victim during an armed conflict with the occupying forces.

The middle plaque bears the following names:
T.O. Oudhof, executed on 27-09-1944 in Utrecht
T. v. Barneveld, died on 23-11-1944 in Kdo. Husum-Schwesing, Neuengamme
G. de Rooij, died on 08-03-1945 in Bergen-Belsen
H. Seldenrijk, died on 30-11-1944 in Kdo. Husum-Schwesing, Neuengamme

H.C. Manten, E.H. Jaarsma, W. de Kruijff, M. v.d. Boom, L. v. Dam, M. Bouma,
died on 05-05-1945 as a resistance fighter/member of the NBS during an armed conflict with the occupying forces.

W.G. Verheul, killed in action on 08-01-1949 in Kediri, Dutch East Indies.

The right plaque contains the following names:
E. Klein, J. Bolander, J.C. Hildebrand, J.B. Atteveld
