Ruins of Village San Pietro Infine

Just before the the three battles of Monte Cassino started the Allies (US Army 36th Army Texas Division) libarated the village of San Pietro Infine 16th December 1943. The village was destroyed completely but it was never rebuilt.

There is a museum at the site and access to the village is free of charge.
