Commonwealth War Graves Roman Catholic Churchyard Kilder

The Roman Catholic Churchyard of Kilder contains the graves of seven Commonwealth airmen of the Second World War. Six of them were killed on 22 May 1944. It are crew members of Avro Lancaster JB672. These are the graves of:

R.C.A.F. 630 (R.A.F.) Sqdn.:
Pilot Officer (Air Bomber) William Baxter, J/87720, age unknown
Pilot Officer (Air Gnr.) Vernon Alfred Goodwin, J/89866, age unknown
Flying Officer (Pilot) Howard Wallace Smith, J/24995, age 22
Pilot Officer (Air Gnr.) Leonard Spensley, J/89950, age 21

R.A.F. 630 Sqdn.:
Flight Sergeant Raymond Coates, 1483125, age 21
Sergeant (Flt. Engr.) Kenneth Dickinson, 1609924, age 21

At another location at the cemetery is the grave of:
Pilot Officer (Pilot) Cedric Mardon Hall, 114450, RAF 150 Sqdn., died on 15-04-1942, age 20. He was the pilot of Wellington DV593. The other crew members have survived.
