NSDAP Administration Building

This building, now an art museum, was built in 1937. The architect was Paul Ludwig Troost, Hitler's favourite architect. It provided space for the administration of all members of the NSDAP, in total 8,5 million persons.

At the and of the war, the whole administration was brought to a paper mill for destruction, but the mill proprietor hided everything and the Americans could lay hands on it.

The building still contains ornaments in the shape of swastikas. Many buildings became these ormaments during the Nazi-era. After World war II, almost all of these were removed.

A but further, at the Arcisstraße, is an identical building.
