Fort Rivoli (Werk Wohlgemuth)

This fort was built from 1849 to 1852 and was armed with 17 heavy guns. The fort served as military storage of the Italian army during the Second World War. It was occupied by German forces for a short time in 1945.

The fort today:
Forte Rivoli is currently in use as military museum dedicated to the First World War. There are also WW2 guns on display outside, like the following examples:

Canone 90/53. Used from 1939 by the Italian army as AA and AT gun.

Bofors 40mm. WW2 Commonwealth.

25 Pounder Field Gun/Howitzer - Mark II. WW2 Commonwealth.

Obice da 75/18 modello 34. Italian field gun used during the Second World War.

Cannone 105/28. Originally from WW1, it was still in use by the Italian army during the Second World Warg.

Cannone c.c da 76/55. Italian field gun used during the Second World War.
