Commonwealth War Grave Protestant Churchyard Anjum

The Cemetery of the Protestant Church in Anjum contains one Commonwealth War Grave.
This is the grave of:

Flight Sergeant (Pilot) Ian Arthur Bullivant, 745781, RAF 18 Sqdn.,
Died at 09-06-1941, age 24.

On 9 June 1941 at 1516 departed from RAF Oulton, the Blenheim V6428 to perform a anti-shipping mission at the Dutch coast. The aircraft was shot down by a German night fighter and crashed down at 1705 in the North Sea. The body of Bullivant was the only body that washed ashore. He was buried in this cemetery. The other two crew members were never recovered.
