Commonwealth War Graves Protestant Churchyard Hallum

The Cemetery of the Protestant Church in Hallum contains three Commonwealth War Graves.
There is one grave of an unknown RAF airman, he died on 25 June 1940.

There is one crew member of the Lockheed Hudson bomber AM878:

Flying Officer (W.Op.) Robert Arthur Conrad Draper, C/7493, RCAF, 407 Sqdn., age 20

On 18 April 1942 departed from RAF Bircham Newton, the Lockheed Hudson AM878 of Coastal Command with the mission: a bombing raid on German ships at the Dutch coast. The aircraft crashed down for unknown reasons into the Waddenzee. The entire crew was killed. One crew member is buried here, the other crew members are in Franeker and Jonkerbos, Nijmegen. Two crew members were never recovered.

There is also one crew member of the Wellington bomber DV935:

Sergeant (W.Op./Air Gnr.) David Thomson Stanners, 1065713, RAF, died at 25-06-1942, age 21

On 25 June 1942 at 2244 departed from RAF Harwell the Wellington DV935 with the mission: a bombing raid over the city of Bremen in Germany. For unknown reasons, the aircraft crashed down in the sea. All six crew members died in the crash. One is buried in this cemetery, one crew member was never found and the rest of the crew are buried in Bergen-Op-Zoom and Harlingen.
