AT 10 MAI 1945 SHORT STIRLING LK147 PART OF NO.196 SQUADRON RAF CRASHED DOWN DURING THE APPROACH TO GARDERMOEN AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON IT'S WAY FROM ENGLAND TO NORWAY, TO TRANSPORT BRITISH SOLDIERS TO THE FRONT. ALL CREW MEMBERS AND PASSENGERS ON BOARD DIED IN THE CRASH.
