On the Great Church of Gorinchem is a plaque to commemorate the razzia of the 3rd of October 1944.
100 men were then rounded up and taken to Camp Amersfoort. Some were put to work in a camp near Deelen, where one person died. 44 men were deported to KZ Neuengamme at the same time as the group from Putten; of these, only 4 returned home alive.
