Memorial Liberation Henri-Chapelle

This memorial commemorates the liberation of Henri-Chapelle, on 11 September 1944, by 745th Tank Bn,1st Infantry Division.

Four soldiers were killed in action during the fights:

CLIFFORD Francis W, Pvt, age 24
DIRKS Raymond Y, Pvt, age 26
HANMER George M, Pvt, age 23
NARDUCY John W, Cpl, age 23

Pvt. Clifford en Cpl. Narducy are buried in Henri-Chapelle (B) cemetery.

Pvt. Dirks and Hanmer were repatriated and buried in the United States.
