Home Guard Memorial
On this location in Corbyn's Head, in 1944, five members of the Home Guard died when their anti aircraft gun exploded. This memorial commemorates these men, as wall as those killed in the bombing of the Barton Gas Works in 1942 and all 1206 Home Guards killed by enemy action in World War II.
