Inside Philadelphia International Airport is a information display, with the history and pictures, about the Tuskegee Airmen, a unit of African American airmen who fought in World War II. They destroyed over 400 aircraft and sunk a destroyer. The Tuskegee Airman flew more than 1,500 missions and were awarded 2 Presidential Units Citations, 744 Air Medals, 150 Distinguished Flying Crosses, several Silver Stars and 14 Bronze Stars.
