German War Memorial Floria

This monument has been erected by German veterans in memory of their fallen comrades on the 23 May 1941. At the third day of the battle for Crete, the Germans fought with the allies who covered the retreating troops. The Germans lost 25 men. The Germans where from the 5th Gebirgsjäger Division and landed a day earlier at Maleme.
