Greek Monument Airfield Maleme

This monument has been erected in memory of the fallen during the Battle of Crete in May 1941. The monument is located at the airfield of Maleme. This airfield has been a battlefield between German 'Falschirmjagers' and New-Zealands from the 22nd Batalion.

Note: It's possible that there are military exercises at the airfield, so look out.
