Memorial Crash Amstrong Whitworth Whitley V

Just outside Denekamp, in the hamlet of North Deurningen, is this Airman Memorial located.
The monument stands on the place were in the night of 12 to 13 march 1941 a British bomber crashed. Four Commonwealth airmen lost their lives. They are buried at the N.H. cemetery in Denekamp.
