Commonwealth War Graves Churchyard Mariënvelde
On Mariënvelde Churchyard are five Commonwealth war graves.
Mariënvelde used to be called Achter-Zieuwent. The graves are still registered under this name at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
It's the crew of Armstrong Withworth Whitley N1425 KN-E of RAF 77 Sqn that is buried here. The aircraft crashed nearby in the night of 18/19 September 1940.
