Ship Wreck "Georg Thiele Narvik"

The wreck of the German destroyer 'George Thiele' can be found in the waters of the Rombaksbotten near Narvik. It fought during the Battle of Narvik. On the 13th april 1940 Max-Eckart Wolff decided to move in to the Rombaksbotten because the ammunition was exhausted and the British ships shot at hem. For this action Max-Eckart Wolff earned the Iron Cross.
