This heavy Polish casemate was built in 1938 as part of the Fortified Region of Silesia, which was constructed by Poland along the Polish-German border, during the Interbellum. It was armed with three heavy machine guns.

Casemate No. 52 is fully renovated and can be visited as a museum.
