Ponte del Diavolo (Devil's Bridge)

This bridge, built around 1100, was the only bridge in this region which was not destroyed by the Germans in 1944. The reason for this was its historical value and the fact that they expected that it was too narrow for an armoured attack.

Nevertheless, a unit of American Sherman tanks managed to cross this narrow bridge and surprised a German unit.
