The ashes of the following war victims were scattered on the scattering field of the Groningen Crematorium:

Willem Hendrik Mook, Soldier 2-III-25- R.I. Born 02-06-1915 in Groningen, died 17-05-1940 in Amsterdam. Cremated in Velsen on 21-05-1945.

Of the more than 180,000 Dutch victims, 130,000 have no identifiable final resting place. So no grave could be set up for them. To prevent the names of these victims from being forgotten, the War Graves Foundation has recorded them in a series of commemorative books of 43 volumes. The names of both victims are listed in volume 43.

The name of Soldier W.H.Mook is also on the May 1940 Monument on the Ereveld Grebbeberg in Rhenen.
