The Hidden Village Vierhouten

On the place where in the Second World War 10 primitive huts were build to hide 80 to 120 people, 3 of these huts are rebuild.

The huts were found and destroyed by the occupier. The residents who were inside were taken prison or directly shot. Many other people could escape and survived.

there are several plaques with the following texts:

As a reminder of
the hiding camp and its FOUNDERS

presented by the many people who could anchor in this safe harbour from April 1943 till November 1944.
