Memorial Independent Kolomyia Border Detachment Lehedzyne

This memorial commemorates the Independent Kolomyia Border Detachment, which managed to hold up the SS-div. Leibstandarte SS "Adolf Hitler" and the 3rd SS-div. "Totenkopf" for two days in this area, in 1941. The detachment destroyed 17 tanks and many enemy troops during the fighting.
