Memorial Hero of the Soviet Union Anatoly Melnikov

This memorial commemorates the Hero of the Soviet Union Anatoly Melnikov who disabled four German armoured cars, 12 cars, 2 munition storages and a large number of military equipment with his tank during the fighting for Cherkasy in 1943. He was wounded during the fighting and after recovery, he was forced to leave the army due to his poor health.
