This memorial commemorates the residents of Wangaratta who died in World War I and World War II. The wars in Korea and Vietnam are also commemorated.
A memorial stones commemorates the the Australians who served in the National Service, from 1951 to 1972. Many of them fought in the conflicts in Borneo and Malaysia in the Vietnam War. In total, 187 men were killed and 1479 wounded on active service during the National Service.
