Lithuanian Bridge Casemate Jonava

According to the information board, this casemate was built in 1937 to defend the railway bridge, as part of a defense project by the Lithuanian army led by Major Juozas Vitkus. The casemates in Jonava were the first of this type to be built in Lithuania. The railway bridge was destroyed during the war, the casemate itself was not undamaged.
