Soviet War Cemetery Eisleben Carl-Eitz-Weg

This war cemetery contains the remains of 375 Soviet soldiers and officers in 82 mass graves. They fell in 1945 or died due to their wounds in the military hospital in Eisleben.

It is a collective cemetery for deceased Soviet prisoners of war and foreign forced laborers of Russian, Ukrainian, Polish and Romanian nationality from the wider Eisleben area. Officers were given an individual grave, the others were buried in communal graves.

An obelisk with a red Soviet star was erected as a memorial. The following inscription in Cyrillic on the front reads:

"Eternally commemorates the citizens of the Soviet Union who died arbitrarily from 1941 to 1945"

There are two Soviet war cemeteries in Eisleben.
