Remnants RAF Binbrook

RAF Binbrook was built in 1938 and was used by RAF Bomber Command between 1940 and 1942. It was first flown by Fairy Battle and later Wellington's. In 1943 the airport was taken over by the Royal Australian Air Force, with which it became the base for the Lancasters of No. 460 Squadron. After the war, the airfield was used until 1988 by the RAF. Currently, a large portion is demolished and several buildings are used as commercial buildings.

The remains still to be found from the Second World War, are some C-type hangars, Nissin huts and several different buildings.
