War Memorial Koekange

In Koekange (municipality of De Wolden) is a monument that reminds of the Second World War.
The text reads:

THIS
MONUMENT
IS A
HONOR
TO THOSE
INHABITANTS
THAT
WITH DANGER
FOR OWN
LIFE

OTHERS
ON MANY
WAYS
HAVE
ASSISTED
IN THE
PERIOD OF TIME

1940 - 1945

The second memorial commemorates a resident who was killed in the post-war conflict in the Dutch Indies. It is also a remembrance place for wars in general.
