RAF Deopham Green Remnants

RAF Deopham Green was built in 1943 and was used between 1944 and 1945 by the USAAF 8th Air Force. It was the home of the heavy Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bombers of the 452nd Bombardment Group. Shortly after the war the airport was closed. Currently there is little left of the airfield, the only thing left is a portion of the runways and taxiways.

RAF Deopham Green was also known as USAAF Station 142.
