In the café opposite this plaque was a room that was used by the Jehovah's Witnesses before the Second World War.
The Jehovah's Witnesses were heavily persecuted for their opinions by the Nazis. One in four was imprisoned in a concentration camp and one in 10 was killed. Also their children were often taken away from them.
The plaque is part of the project "Wege Gegen Das Vergessen" (Ways Against Forgetting).
