Memorial Workers District

This square was once the center of the workers' district of Aachen. Until 1933, here was much opposition to the National Socialists and even after the takeover, many people in the local resistance came from this neighbourhood.

The plaque in the pavement is part of the project "Wege Gegen Das Vergessen" (Ways Against Forgetting).
