Fortress Osowiec - Fort II (Zarzeczny)

This fort was originally constructed by the Russians in the 19th Centuty. From 1919, it was modernised by the Polish army. It saw heavy fighting in September 1939 and was further modernised by the German army in the period 1939-1940. The fort was blown up by retreating German troops in 1945.
