Memorial Resistance Against National-Socialists

This street and the surrounding streets were the scene of many demonstrations against the National Socialists in 1933. In two clashes a SA- and a SS-man were killed. As a result, dozens of people were arrested. Of them, 3 people did not survived the torture and one was sentenced to death. Many others were given long prison sentences.
