Commonwealth War Graves Avant-lès-Marcilly

At the cemetery in Avant-lès-Marcilly are seven Commonwealth war graves from World War II.

Sergeant Richard Anthony Johnston, 641334, age 22
Sergeant John George Turnbull, 948285, age 24
Flight Sergeant Brian Thomas Wootton-Woolley, 1380933.

The memorial at the graves commemorate the aircrew of the RAAF who died in the crash with the Lancaster AR+Z2, 460 Sqn., who were killed on 04-05-1944 in Avant-lès-Marcilly.
